I am always interested to see what curriculum people use and why. Plus, having all the different resource ideas in one place makes it easy for me to see if there is something new or one that I haven't heard of before.
So, what math curriculum do you use? Anything in particular that you (or your kids) like about it?
My 8yo is finishing up Beta and my 6yo is starting Beta. I think our favorite part is that the lessons are on DVD! That is the one subject where there is zero tears from my boys or from me. In fact, the lessons are so well presented that I have yet to actually use my teachers guide! And if they don't quite get it the first time around or need another review, all we have to do is go back to the main menu and watch the lesson again.

All of my children started out in ABeka math. I worked until they hit fourth grade and then they absolutely hated it. So at fourth grade we switch to Saxon Math. So far, so good.

We started out with Shiller Math when my son was in K. It gave a great foundation for that year and transitioned well from his Montessori preschool to home. But it was not well-organized past that first year and we switched to Saxon. We LOVE it. We skip what we don't need (some overkill) but that's much better than holes you need to fill in at the end of the year!
Our daughter will start with some basics from Shiller next year, or we might look at Saxon K.
Sorry about that testing thing. I don't know how to delete it. We use Singapore...at least the workbooks. It is very sequential and lays a solid foundation, I think.
