Human Body for my elementary age kids-- go-along suggestions?

Tomorrow is the big day.  We are starting our science God's Design for Life: The Human Body by Answers in Genesis.

We will be studying the different systems-- circulatory, skeletal, digestive, etc.

Do y'all have any fav websites or activities that would go-along well with our studies?

My boys prefer minimal writing and maximum fun.  But I would settle for minimal writing... it's a huge issue for one child in particular.  The book comes with some activities, but it would be nice to have a choice to incorporate even more to better cement the topics.

Thanks in advance!

enchantedlearning.com has some great printables to go along. I had just found a site recently with all science things with pictures etc and now I can't think of it! Well, anywhoo. You could always do a "google" on it.

Marsha, I saw a book at Costco that has the body's anatomy within the pages as a model and the pieces come apart(not too many either). VERY fun. We got our Timmy, age 5, the one on the Tiger. It fascinates him. I'll bet your children would like the human one.

Also maybe have them create a model with playdough. Another idea is disecting a frog. Their insides are surpsingly like ours. Comparing the frog to a human is a lot of fun.

Thanks for the recommendation, Lisa!  I'll check that book out the next time I go to Sam's Club.

As to the frog dissection, I only have one small concern.  We have TONS of frogs around here... If I let them cut one open, I'm afraid it won't stop at only one!  But it would be a great lesson...

ok I have a more in depth question about the body. How do you, as a Christian, teach young boys about the 'changes' they'll be going through?
