State-Tris geography game

Here's something I blogged about a while back:

Resource of the Day: State-Tris

Today we bring you... State-Tris! It's an online game, played like Tetris, but with the U.S. states instead of funky blocks. There are three levels available: 1)With name, and oriented properly, 2)With name, but with the state shape turned, requiring you to orient it properly before placing and 3)Without name, and with the shape turned. It's a great way to learn the states! On this page, there are also links to several other "Tris" versions of other countries, so you can learn world geography as well.

There are several other "-Tris" games available for the rest of the world.

What a cool game!  My boys learn best with games and hands-on activities.

At least it wouldn't be as bad to get addicted to this as it was to Tetris.  Oi. I can still remember looking at a skyline and figuring out how I could fit the buildings all together...
