Using coupons? Using a grocery list and sticking to it? Comparing prices at grocery stores? Simply asking for a better deal? Only using cash, not credit cards?
What is your secret and what are some of the best money-saving experiences?

I shop sales for everything, especially clothing. I rarely buy anything unless it is at least 50% off, but usually hold out for 75% off. Dillard's and Target are my fav places for clothing steals.
I will often buy things out-of-season for my boys to grow into. I am more apt to do this with shirts than with pants (because they can grow so quickly in such a short time!).

We have a place called the Grocery Outlet for less pricey foods. Also A large pack your own type store. Less trips to the store. And when we do go shopping we do it all at once. All the stores are 15 minutes away so we strive to save gas money.
We buy bulk of things we use alot- like rice, pasta, meat, etc. When meat is on sale, we buy a lot and freeze it (divided out, if it's a large quantity so that we only thaw what we need for one meal at a time).
If I do come across a coupon for something we enjoy (like Coke zero), I'll use it, but I'm not a big coupon clipper.
I usually buy store brands as well.
